[FoCHAT] Updated CHAT website; resending public records request template; collecting info from those stalled more than 3 months at any one step

  1. The Road Home Site

  has updated policies and forms as of Apr. 10. I have accordingly updated our chat website (see green links) because the old links did not work any more.

  2. I copy below the template (see bottom of email) for Public Records Requests about the RHP documents and records for your application. This needs to be sent by certified mail with you keeping the registration number for certified mail.  I have learned that if you do not get some kind of a reply within 5 days, you could file a suit about this, although court fees are involved. If you want to do this, it can help to get information about procedural roadblocks in the RHP. If you send this, please notify by email chatlra at yahoo.com with Pub. Rec. Request in the subject line and in the body your name, date of sending the certified letter, and your contact information.
   
  3. Lastly, CHAT wants to catalogue a list of some of those left in the dust of the Road Home Program. For those of you who have been waiting:
   
   for more than 2 months after your house inspection without an award letter;
   
  more than 2 months after your award letter without a scheduled closing date; 
   
  more than 2 months in Dispute Resolution without a letter telling the outcome;
   
  or more than 2 months after your initial home advisor visit without a house inspection;
   
  please fill out our survey http://chatforfairness.org and in comments you may indicate which of the three categories is relevant to your application. 
   
  If you have already filled in the survey, you may send an email to chatlra at yahoo.com and state that you filled in the survey, give your name and contact information, and tell us in which category your application falls.

              2. All documents evidencing action taken concerning said application including the dates of these activities.
   
              3. Copies of correspondence and memorandum with state or federal agencies or departments and private firms concerning our application.
   
   
              Note that our Road Home application has been stalled at the XXX stage since XXX OR INDICATE THE MAIN PROBLEM WITH  PROCESSING OF YOUR APPLICATION. 
              
              Please advise if your estimated cost of furnishing copies of these documents should exceed        the sum of One Hundred Dollars prior to completing your response to this request, or if       you have any questions regarding same.
