[FoCHAT] Schedule for COX10 airing of 8/15 1h 45 min CHAT Meeting; Shortfall and Congress

Dear Concerned Louisianians,

  Time to begin spreading the word to non-Louisianians about contacting their Congressmen to cover the shortfall in the Road Home Program for Homeowners in September, without delay and to get the already appropriated federal funds for elevating our houses active after a 4-month stoppage at the federal level for no good reason. 

  Our new website for non-Louisianians is still being worked on but you can take a peek at it and people outside of hurricane- and flood-devastated Louisiana areas can sign on already. This site was generously provided by a benefactor in upper NY State. Anyone who would  like only very few notices for our legislative push to get the shortfall covered should sign on please at this site. Please ask your friends and relatives to join at

  There are no dues and we never share addresses with anyone.

  In terms of information, the filming of our last CHAT meeting has been sped through production thanks to a producer at COX10 so that it will already be available for viewing starting Sunday. He applauded us for our work and liked this video very much. We are grateful to all who contributed such important insights into the Road Home Program and its crying needs for reform at this meeting, so eloquently expressed near the end of the meeting by applicants still in line.

   Note that we have hundreds of members of our email network, some very active in CHAT work, and many more active members than present at yesterday evening's meeting. For example, only 3 of the 5 coreCHAT members who are lawyers were able to attend.
