Forwarded from CHAT Co-Chairman Frank Silvestri,

The producer of the show for Good Morning America featuring CHAT people wrote this evening:
Should be shown tomorrow morning at 7:30-7:50am.
I am happy with what’s on paper now, and the CHAT meeting starts off the piece!

From CHAT Board Member Ray Broussard,

CNBC 9pm special last night: 'Against the Tide'

That show reruns Wed at 8pm, Sat at 7pm and Sun at 8pm - channel 43.

If anyone wants to see it, I posted a copy of my home's demolition and rebuilding time lapse movie, as seen on CNBC, but longer running at:

  From me:

Please spread the word to those outside LA about the campaign to stop the RHP shortfall by adequate funding from Congress: http://ChatUsHome.com for a brief message as to how help us (no dues, just some contacting of politicians is requested with easy instructions).

I was on the Spud show limiting myself to 15 min today and explaining why the $49,000 for the RAND contract for the in-flight review was not at all a waste of money (as Spud had thought) but rather has the potential of helping applicants very much.

When I gave my message about how people should contact their US Congressmen about covering the shortfall in Sept., Spud reminded me that those in LA should contact key players in Congress from outside our state because LA Congressmen seem to be on board for support of stopping the shortfall in RHP funds.

For those in LA, please contact, for starters the following Congressmen:
Please ask these Senators from the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and ask them to fast-track in September Congress appropriating $4 billion to cover the shortfall in this program and to make the legislation explicit about the money being released without delays by HUD. In addition, FEMA red tape needs to be removed from the already appropriated but inaccessible $1.4 billion for elevation allowances and other RHP funding of homeowners.

Best wishes and hope to see as many of you as possible on Wed. morning at the national press conference and rally at which we will be distributing CHAT Congres: Stop the Shortfall signs (details at http://chat.thinknola.com),
