When I sent this message to FOCHAT on Feb 8, I copied every Road Home related email address that I could find. Look below to see a message I received today. I may actually have gotten someone's attention. AMAZING!

I don't know how much the appeal process could slow down the closings...it is already slower than a ....
My dad got his award letter at the end of November. He was happy with the pre-Katrina value ($454,000) and with the award amount ($146,000). He made his selection, signed the yellow copy and mailed it back in. That was the first week of December. He was told a closing would be arranged in 2-4 weeks. HA! It is going on 10 weeks now and the only people he's heard from is Road Home satisfaction survey takers (twice!). He told them both times that he was satisfied with all of the figures, but hoped he'd get the money before he died (only half joking, since he's 81 and not in best health.)
SO, go ahead and appeal if you want. It will take an eternity anyway!
