First:
Mr. Lob as listed as the registered agent / president is a DECEASED
Notary. I suppose this is why the company has not filed with the SOS
since 1999, though I suspect he has been dead longer since his bond
expired in 1975.

The Company has gone through several name changes since it was first
incorporated. First American is registered with the Insurance
Commissioner. NAIC: 50199. The Department of Insurance lists an
attorney by the name of Peter C. Keenan as its agent. Mr Keenan is
listed by the State Bar as being employed at First American Title.
Nowhere, however, does Mr. Keenan appear in the SOS registry for
First American. Mr. Keenan has had several title businesses in the
past. The only current business he is listed with according to the
SOS is Louisiana Title Statistical Services Organization,
Incorporated. Mr. Keenan, according to First American is the Manager
of the Louisiana Division and a Vice-President.

First American list a Santa Ana, California address. Not Utah. They
claim to be nationwide, yet interestingly enough

Still the question remains are they authorized to conduct business in
Louisiana as a Non-Louisiana entity? This information I cannot find.

As "foreign corporation" must file with the Secretary of State to
exist as an entity and transact business (see RS 12:301). First
American as a non-Louisiana domiciled corporation does not exist.
Therefore if the corporation has not filed with the SOS, it does not
exist, it can not do business here, nor can it contract in Louisiana
or with Louisiana.

And so the question becomes... who allowed First American to contract?
