Dear Concerned Louisianians,
At yesterday's Housing Task Force Meeting,
http://blog.nola.com/times-picayune/2007/09/road_home_has_money_to_pay_gra.html
once again the importance of data from the online survey of the Citizens' Road Home Action Team (CHAT) was at the forefront.
If you or someone you know is still waiting for their grant and has not taken our second survey, please do so.

If you or your friend or neighbor are in dispute resolution or appeal for more than two months, and has not taken the survey at all or not taken it this month, please do so and describe how you know you are still in dispute resolution or appeal, when you first were placed in that category, and what you are disputing.

There are problems with what we can hope for in the elevation allowance re-instatement and it is not sure that the shortfall in the Road Home Program will be covered. If you care about the recovery of Louisiana and are not a member of our email network (usually only 1 to 3 emails a week, no dues, your email address or name are never shared), then please join our network.
If you are a member, please recruit more members. We need to be poised for helping to convince Congress to cover the shortfall and remove ridiculous red tape that is tying up elevation allowances in knots. All you have to do to be part of the solution is click and fill in your name and email address at:

Be part of the solution. If you have a complaint, complain productively. Show that you care about our unique and wonderful S. LA. Everyone in LA is impacted by the successes or failures of the Road Home Program.
Best wishes,
Melanie
